Date: 2012jun13 OS: Linux Q. Why are my partitions locked (can not be resized) in GParted? A. Probably because they are in use. Usually its hard to unmount a partition such as /usr. The solution is to use the GParted live CD. http://GParted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php
