Date: 2008jan9 OS: Windows Keywords: screenshot, screen shot Q. What's the best way to take a screenshot in Windows? A. Typically you do not want the image of the whole desktop but just one window so: - Click on the title bar of the window in question - If you are taking a screenshot of a browser window usually the address bar is important so make sure its present. - Press <alt><print-screen> (That's the Alt key and the PrintScreen key at the same time) Now you have an image of the window in your clipboard. Next you want to save it to disk. - Start Paint - File > Paste - File > Save As - Save the file as a PNG image (JPG compression hurts the image, BMP is huge)
