Computer Tips - Why is Fedora just showing a black screen on boot?
Date: 2014may20
Distro: RedHat/Fedora/CentOS
Q. Why is Fedora just showing a black screen on boot?
A. When it boots there is a choice to show all options.
Go there and remove "quiet rhgb" (Red Hat Graphical Boot)
Now when you reboot you'll see text messages.
For me, it was saying that I was trying to boot a 64-bit OS
in a virtual machine that only supported 32-bit.
