Many digital cameras generate file names for the photos like DSC_NNNN.JPG which NNNN is a number. So when somebody buys a new camera the first photo is "DSC_0001.jpg". DSC stands for Digital Still Camera. Other cameras use "IMG_NNNN.JPG".
