Q. How can I get a low-cost Linux server on the Internet?
A. Consider a Virtual Private Server (VPS).
As the name suggests you get the illusion of a private server on a share box.
You can login as root and install new packages so who cares if
you aren't dealing with the bare metal.
Less expensive than a dedicated host.
