When I visited this terrific place I ran into some other people who where also given misleading directions from Google Maps. You don't need elaborate turn-by-turn directions. Just get yourself to Calle Abasolo and walk up it. It gets steep and then becomes steps. The Hard Rock Cafe is at Calle Abasolo and the Malecón.
