Date: 2015oct3 OS: Android Product: alogcat Q. Why doesn't alogcat work any more? A. As of Android 4.1, apps can not see other app's entries in the logcat. This includes alogcat. Apparently you can get around this by rooting but I haven't tried it. You can still see the logcat with adb.
